The High Horizon series
Six stages. Each mountain has a job.
The challenge develops winter endurance, exposed movement, glacier travel, Alpine routines and experience at progressively greater altitude. Dates are planning objectives until confirmed in writing.

A fully guided, porter-supported culmination of the year.
Honest status. High Horizon is a planned campaign. Every stage remains subject to funding, written booking confirmation, insurance, medical advice, guide approval and mountain conditions. Every summit is an objective, never a promise.
Responsible progression
Guide judgement outranks the schedule.
Each stage ends with a review of performance, recovery, equipment and guide feedback before the next major commitment. The series creates evidence of readiness; it does not remove mountain risk or guarantee success.
A safe turnaround is sound judgement—not failure.

Give a young person their chance.
Support through the Cadet Horizons Fund could help an eligible Army Cadet access equipment, travel, training, courses, camps and activities that build confidence, resilience, skills and ambition.
Cadet Horizons does not select recipients or administer grants. That responsibility sits independently with ACCT UK.
