High Horizon 2027

Six mountain stages. Eight summits. One purpose.

In 2027, I will attempt a rising series from Britain’s highest mountains in winter to Aconcagua at 6,961m—raising £50,000 so more Army Cadets can access opportunities that cost might otherwise put beyond them.

I’m Jez Pitman—an Army veteran, qualified Mountain Leader and the sole Cadet Horizons climber. Professional guides will lead every technical and high-altitude stage.

Why it matters

Potential is everywhere. Opportunity is not.

Cadets changed the direction of my life. Yet equipment, travel, training or activity costs can still leave a young person watching from the sidelines.

Every donation through the official GiveStar page goes directly to ACCT UK and is restricted to the Cadet Horizons Fund. ACCT UK independently decides who receives support. Donations do not fund High Horizon.

The 2027 progression

Harder. Higher. More visible.

Each stage creates a new fundraising moment and a genuine readiness test before the next commitment.

Built on evidence

A new campaign. An established record.

Operational Army service, nearly three decades connected to cadets, qualified mountain leadership and elite military sport sit behind High Horizon. Triglav and a winter ascent of Mount Toubkal at 4,167m were completed before this campaign was proposed.

One public campaign

Donate to opportunity—not to an expedition.

The GiveStar campaign belongs to the charitable purpose. ACCT UK receives and independently administers every donation made through it.

Adventure is the challenge. Opportunity is the purpose.

Help a young person discover how far they can go.

High Horizon remains subject to funding, confirmed bookings, insurance, medical advice, guide approval and mountain conditions. The charitable purpose is already clear.
