This notice explains how Cadet Horizons handles information submitted through this website and how external services may process information when you follow or use their links and features.

Information you provide

The contact form asks for your name, email address, enquiry type and message. Providing this information is voluntary. We use it to respond to your enquiry, take any steps you request and manage related correspondence.

How contact-form submissions are handled

When the website is deployed through Netlify, contact-form submissions are processed and stored through Netlify Forms so that Cadet Horizons can review and respond to them. We retain enquiry information only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage the relationship or meet an applicable record-keeping requirement.

Sharing and disclosure

Cadet Horizons does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers that support the website or communications, or where disclosure is required by law. It will not be used for unrelated marketing without an appropriate basis.

External services

This website links to, or may display content from, third-party services including GoFundMe, ACCT UK’s Enthuse donation page, Instagram and Garmin MapShare. The site also uses external technical services such as Netlify hosting, Google Fonts, Leaflet and map data providers. These services operate under their own privacy and cookie terms. Opening a third-party link, viewing an embedded feature or making a donation may allow that provider to receive technical information such as your IP address, browser details and interaction data.

Garmin live tracking

When Garmin MapShare is activated, the Live Mission page may display the expedition team’s public tracking information. Public MapShare settings will be reviewed before launch to control the information displayed. Visitors should not use live tracking as an emergency-contact or rescue service.

Cookies and analytics

Cadet Horizons does not currently operate its own advertising or behavioural-analytics system on this website. Third-party services or embedded content may place cookies or use similar technologies according to their own policies.

Your information rights

You may ask Cadet Horizons for access to personal information held about you, request correction or deletion where applicable, or raise a concern about its use. Some rights depend on the circumstances and the legal basis for processing.
